Purpose of this roll

As an Operations Manager for Wrist-Klevenberg you are mostly going to oversee the warehouse and the planning. You are always looking for new opportunities that result in efficiency improvements. You will also draft action plans and/or manuals to make sure opportunities will be transformed in results. As an Operations Manager ensuring a pleasant working atmosphere in which you steer your team members towards finding solutions themselves is a priority.

If necessary, you jump in to coaching team members and guide them towards further developing their abilities. Not only cooperation and communication in your own department should be stimulated, but also between different departments.

In addition, as an Operations Manager you are in charge of the implementation of new operational processes. You focus on motivating and inspiring your team members to achieve and raise goals, in combination with coaching and mentoring (new) team members and overseeing their further development. This has to be combined with day-to-day practices that the Operations Manager has to execute.

Working activities consist of:

• Implementing operational processes
• Managing and coaching of our own team (3 team leaders warehouse and 4 planners, indirect 45 employees)
• Developing and conducting monitoring reports
• Conducting job application, evaluation, absence and exit interviews
• Supervising change processes
• Providing input to succesful manage the company through being a member of management team

Requirements

You have obtained a degree (HBO) towards logistics and/or Supply Chain Management. In addition, you have a minimum of 10 years of experience in an executive manager position. Knowledge contains advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Microsoft AX is preferred. You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language.

Competences required to be successful as Operations manager:

• Most importantly the jobholder is required to have a hands-on working mentality, meaning that the Operations Manager should be closely involved with daily practices.
• The jobholder should have a lot of experience in coaching and supervising people, meaning that leadership skills are mandatory.
